Jeff Johnson Daughter Death St. Cloud, MN :- A tragic incident over the weekend claimed the life of 22-year-old Hallie Marie Tobler (née Johnson), a resident of St. Cloud and the daughter of Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Jeff Johnson. Hallie was reportedly killed by her husband in an apparent domestic violence incident, leaving family, friends, and the community in shock.
According to the St. Cloud Police Department, officers responded to a medical emergency at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Saturday at an apartment building on the 3100 block of 40th Avenue South. Upon arrival, they discovered Hallie had died from multiple stab wounds.
Authorities have stated that the 23-year-old husband, also from St. Cloud, sustained life-threatening injuries, which are believed to be self-inflicted. He was transported to a local hospital and remains in stable condition.
Once discharged, he will be taken into custody at the Stearns County Jail, facing pending homicide charges in connection with his wife’s death.
In response to the devastating loss, Hallie’s father, Jeff Johnson, announced that he would suspend his gubernatorial campaign “out of respect for his family and the enormity of this loss,” according to a statement from the Republican Party of Minnesota.
